Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State recognised by the national leadership of the party, Prince Ken Emeakeyi, weekend in Awka, declared that the battle of attrition ravaging the chapter since the parallel primaries on August 24 that produced two candidates for the November 16 governorship election in the state, was over.
The state chapter of the party had on August 24 conducted two primaries election; one by the Ejike Oguebego-led faction at Emmaus House and the other by the Ken Emeakayi faction at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme square, both in Awka. While the Oguebego faction produced Senator Andy Uba as the candidate, Emeakayi’s faction produced Comrade Tony Nwoye.
